MIWEBIT is excited to announce its formal membership in the European Commission’s Pact for Skills, a flagship initiative of the European Skills Agenda designed to bridge skills gaps and drive forward Europe’s green and digital transitions.

As a Pact member, MIWEBIT embraces and actively implements the initiative’s four key commitments:

  • Building strong skills partnerships to foster collaboration across sectors and borders.
  • Promoting a culture of lifelong learning for all, ensuring continuous upskilling and reskilling opportunities.
  • Monitoring skills supply and demand, supporting proactive anticipation of emerging workforce needs.
  • Championing equity and inclusion, working against discrimination to promote gender equality and equal access in training.

MIWEBIT’s membership places it among more than 3,200 organisations including industry leaders, training providers, public authorities, and NGO partners  and all dedicated to developing resilient, future-ready workforce capacities across Europe.

A Collective Impact: Skills Development Across Europe

According to the Pact’s 2024 Annual Report and recent results:

  • Over 6.1 million people have been trained through Pact-supported initiatives since its 2020 launch
  • In 2024 alone, partners invested around €650 million in upskilling and reskilling, reaching approximately 2.6 million individuals through nearly 47,800 updated or newly developed training programs
  • The Pact’s 20 Large-Scale Skills Partnerships (LSPs) trained 33% of their workforce on average, aiming to upskill or reskill over 25 million people by 2030
